Five of these legislation, which have been languishing in the Raipur Raj Bhawan for the Governor’s assent since 2020, envisage that the Chhattisgarh Cabinet, rather than the Governor, will appoint the universities’ Vice Chancellors for ‘better management.’
The long-running feud in Chhattisgarh between the Bhupesh Baghel-led Congress government and the Governor shows no signs of ending.
